The WPG organization provides a forum for female professionals to hear key speakers and maximize networking opportunities. All women with positions in city, county, state or federal government are welcome. Women having positions in the the private sector that deal with government at any level are encouraged to attend.

Since 1981, the women Professionals in Government organization has played a critical role in the advancement of member women professionals. The key to that success is the three-pronged strategy of empowering WPG members with enhanced networking opportunity, skill and knowledge.
 

Academic Power, Giving Power, Power in Numbers
WPG grants scholarship awards for women who are higher education students, dedicated to the pursuit of public service careers.  WPG members make direct contributions to local charities through gifts of time, material and monies, focusing on the cause of women and children in our communities.

WPG is affiliated with the Federation of Houston Professional Women, which draws on the combined resources of more than 80 professional women's organizations in the Houston area.
